I love lamp
15.02.08

aight, February n stuff, spring approaching and yet I haven’t had to shove snow from the driveway nor the paths in the front yard even once this winter! never thought I’d say it but that’s sad... does not feel like winter has been around at all this year…

anyway, music music music: new release out with my Moshing Idiots project, called “Swaggerback EP”, available now at djdownload, trackitdown, ministry of sounds online store, beatsdigital, play digital and junodownload, where it actually was one of the weekly bestsellers this week. it’s currently also at #5 at the progressivehouse.com chart and #3 in the releasepromo.com chart. on this proggy release you will also find the more big-room aimed melodic bomb ‘Boulevards’.

heard Seal’s new album yesterday.. man I’m hooked now! two excellent tracks on it, the thin white duke edit of “Amazing” and then the pumping house choon “The Right Life”. mkay, gotta go grab a bite to eat now… starving to death… vacuum turning my stomach inside out, gonno turn into a black hole soon I reckon…

weapon of destruction
19.01.08

at times, it seems one understands how the pieces fit, how the world works and what might make it spin. one may have it all figured out, what tomorrow can bring and where the sun will shine. but a fraction of a moment, a minor signal of some interaction or thought, sometimes just turns it all upside down. and we shall be prepared of what is yet to be.

during the last two years, I’ve learned a lot. mostly about myself, also about people and their ability to look at things from different aspects and solving critical situations and problems. it has become me clear, that prejudice is the most destructive weapon we all carry, a hidden power preventing loads of amazing possibilities from arising.

take a glass of water, and put it in the middle of the table, between two people sitting on either side. now, these two people will tell each other which colors appear in the glass and what they can see through it. the result will vary and arguments will appear, since they sit on different sides. EVEN THO, it is the exact same glass in front of them. but if you move these two people, make them sit on the same side, they will see all the same colors and shadows, the same thing from one single angle. now it’s easier for them to agree on what they see.

understanding something is connected to prior knowledge. but what if that knowledge was all misguided and faulty? NEVER, ever judge someone by their actions, if you don’t know the reasons behind them. if you think you are sure about something, think again, since you could be terribly wrong. always have an open mind at all times in life. even if all the pieces in the puzzle, except for the one in your hand, are correct: never take for granted that the last one will fit.

cheers,
-r.

moshing idiots
06.11.07

well, moshing idiots - 'mosh it' was released together with a colin c remix a couple of weeks ago and now the additional federico giust and nicholas van orton remixes hit the shelves this week aswell... more info about this on the moshing idiots homepage. the tracks can be purchased from most of the usual online stores like junodownload, track it down, play-digital, 3beat etc. the track has already received great feedback and quite a few spins by a bunch of nice DJ's.
also the estonian lifestyle magazine HEAT wrote an interview with the moshing idiots project in their november issue.
what else is new... it's getting a tad colder outside. winter is here any day now, making it even harder to get out of bed in the mornings... sigh.

nine track EP for free
10.06.07

so, I decided to collect nine of my favourite clearspeaks tracks done during the past year for this small EP release, which is entirely for free. click on the music section to download.
also I finished a chillout remix of 'simply red - so not over you' on acidplanet.com's simply red contest. I'll check it with the big guys if I can present the remix here maybe aswell.
currently I'm also busy on several projects, of which most are dance music oriented. I'm yet to announce these projects far more in detail in the near future. take care!

alpine photos
12.02.07

being back from a ski-trip in france brought a slight depression over me. simply amazing days of pure freedom, does not make it possible to feel happy being back in this everyday-life. anyaway, check the pohto page for the les deux alpes gallery, I think I got some nice shots there.

resolutions
07.01.07

happy new york city... or new year I mean. ah, never mind the silly and extrordinary lame joke where NYE once became NYC.
anyway - a new year, new mountains to climb, new bicycles to ride. what have I planned for this year? well, I didn't have any big new resolutions, more than really trying to push myself more, whatever I get into. in snowboarding, I'll try stick a simple but huge 360, not with my face first. at uni, not fail exams (this is probably a pointless thing to bother my mind with now anyway, since it's a resolution most likely to be broken). what about music then? oh, I'll just keep working on the clearspeaks album, hopefully finish something worthy a release before autumn. also work on some interesting co-projects and maybe see you at a live show soon enough.

casino royale
02.12.06

after the few later movies, especially 'die another day,' I was deeply worried. the invisible Aston Martin, and the overdone plot, it was all too much. I was terrified and totally convinced that this was the final cornerstone of the James Bond we used to know. and not long ago, I saw posters, of Daniel Craig, the next Bond, a blonde Bond. don't get me wrong, since his role in 'layer cake' I knew he was a great actor. but was he good enough to be Bond, James Bond? - after watching 'casino royale', I felt like stepping out of a cold shower. I felt refreshed. Craig was amazing, I'd say almost like Sean Connery in his early days. please let 'casino royale' set the new fundamentals to what Bond will be like in the future, and the story will live on happily ever after.

domestic care?
23.11.06

as I stated in a previous entry, the future of this planet is _right now_ mostly in the hands of big companies and governments and authorities.
this statement becomes even more clear with all this talk going around right now, about "cheap grocery stores" and international competition, what comes to pricing of products, is outgunning the swedish, domestic farming.
well, if the government made it cheaper to run such organizations, press down the insanely high tax rates, in areas that are important in cultural terms, then this would not happen. clear fact:
if I have a german store nearby selling imported milk and other necessary groceries 20% off the swedish products, I tell you I will go to the german store for sure.
even tho they have to bring it here on 16 tonne trailer-trucks, it IS cheaper than the stuff that is coming from this country itself, it makes a BIG difference in the regular household economy. that's a fact we can't deny, and most people will take advantage of.
this does not only apply on groceries, but goes for other areas too, like electronics, furniture, clothing etc.

global harming
15.11.06

the other day I saw this documentary about the environmental pressure human beings are putting on the earth. as the economical development is right now in third world countries, and in eastern asia, by year 2030 (that's about 20 years from now!!) there won't be enough of everything we need for us all. for example, if China will continue to grow the way it does now, by year 2030 they will need a paper production industry that is twice the amount of all paper production on the whole planet in total right now. we will run out of trees in notime.
also by year 2030, if the economy grows as it does now, China will get to the same standard of life, as in the USA. imagine 2 cars per middle class family in china, that will be over 1.5 billion cars only in China. right now the world in total holds 800 million cars. they will also need roads, that are going to take out huge amounts of the rice fields.
most of the european, eastern, developing countries will by then reach the "western standard" level of consumption aswell. and think of India, that will just be a couple of years behind China what comes to economical development - they'll by 2030 have a population larger than chinas. think of the whole world living the american lifestyle, that's what is shrinking this planet.
aswell most of the large environmental effects, pollution etc are in the hands of manufacturers, big industries and companies, the way they choose to develop their products and take care of waste. governments have to make it easier to run and give more credit to companies who take environmental precautions and produce enviroment-friendly products. that's what will save us in the long run, not if you or I take the train to school instead of the bus.

white christmas...
01.11.06

...oh wait? it's only november the 1'st. the first snow just fell here in stockholm today, about 20cm of pure fresh powder. as usual the public transport systems collapsed allready at 0.01 cm of snow. people were running around in circles, tapping on their cellphones, calling their children and friends "I'll be late, it's outta hand here". thats how it should be, chaos everywhere, wind blowing your hat off 30 m/s, fingers turning into ice-sticks, metlting snow dripping down your neck along your back. it's when you step in some place warm everything feels worth it, this shiver that goes through the body. a feeling of comfort, being safe. I should run out again, just to experience the feeling of coming back in. excellent.

alpine update
21.10.06

ok, I decided to host my pictures on flickr.com from now on, so if you go to my photo page, you will see three pictures from a gallery, and a link to the rest of the pictures which will pop up in a new window when clicked. since winter is on its way, I'm getting in the mood for some snowboarding. to reduce this urge, I thought I'd put up some pics from my skiing whereabouts over the past years.

repeating history
12.10.06

another plane crash in the NYC yesterday. interesting about it being the date, 11th. october tho.
according to the news, the NY yankees player Cory Lidles passport was found on the ground below the crash point. what is it with the the pilots passports surviving plane crashes? the passport belonging to one of the guys who flew into the WTC was found on the sidewalks aswell back in 2001, surviving the crash and the massive fires. paper seems to be the strongest material ever.

barbeque overload
25.06.06

stocked up a big pile of delicious meat today, 4kg to be exact (should be like 9 pounds or so), to be barbequed and eaten by me and one firend only (man, sorry who ever are vegetarians, I know this must sound awful). let's hope I don't die in some kind of meat-overload and can continue working on the new songs. also put up a few new photos.
enjoy the sunshine or seek shade, whatever works for you!

chuck norris facts
06.02.06

dug up some good old Chuck-facts that really cracked me up:

-The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain.
-When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.
-Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Ever. -Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice.
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is based on a true story: Chuck Norris once swallowed a turtle whole, and when he crapped it out, the turtle was six feet tall and had learned karate.
-Chuck Norris has already been to Mars, that is why there are no signs of life there.
-Chuck Norris doesnt wear a watch, HE decides what time it is.

yay, the site is up!
31.01.06

after being drowned in html and php codes for a whole weekend, I finally managed to get the site up, with quite a lot of help from some good pals (mentioned under the photo) ofcourse.
there are probably still minor things to edit and correct, but all the sections should work nicely right now.
if you have any improvement ideas or want to leave feedback about the design, feel free to add a comment!
